Junior Tyler Stephens

Bishop Foley advances to the District Semi-Final with their 3rd win of the year over rival Notre Dame Prep.  It was a fast paced game played hard for the full 80minutes.  Foley would prevail using early scoring from Tyler Stephens and strong team defense throughout.  Tyler would open the scoring with several nice moves through the middle of the Prep defense and finish with a powerful kick for the first goal.  His next two goals were similar as he weaved through the defense and powered the ball to the back of the net.  The Foley defense would be up to the challenge only allowing a couple of scoring chances in the first half that GK Andrew Claucherty easily cleaned up.  

The second half started with Derek Rosiek scoring off a free kick to build a 4-0 lead for Bishop Foley.  The defense would do their job the rest of the way allowing only one goal.  Tim Oravetz and Kurt Weiss would do a great job limiting Prep's opportunities to score.

Foley will next play Detroit Country Day at Country Day on Thursday at 5:30pm.  There is a Fan Bus available to students that will leave Foley at 4:30pm and return around 8:00pm.  The cost for the bus is $5 and it will cost students $5 to get into the game.  Please see Mr. West with any questions.
