Foley Wins District in a 4 Game Thriller with Liggett
Bishop Foley dropped the first game of the District Championship 16 - 25. They realized that they didn't play their best volleyball and got loose between games. They would then dominate the second and third games winning 25-15 and 25-19. That would set up a very competitive 4th game which saw great play by both teams. Foley built several small leads in the game just to see Liggett come back. The Ventures would persevere in the end winning the game 25-22.
Foley received great play from everyone on the team in this win. Tricia Fogel and Kayla Putz did a great job setting up the Foley hitters as well serving the ball very well. Arielle Hall and Peyton Kuzemka played great defense from the back. Danielle Redding continued to serve the ball with authority, getting Foley some big points in the match. Foley would also see great hitting and blocking from Emily and Megan VanFleteren, Maria Starceski, Danielle Partyka, Kam Haifleigh, and Colleen Szakacs.
With the win Foley will advance to the Regional Semi Final held at Bishop Foley on Tuesday November 10th at 5:00pm.
