Bishop Foley won their first league match of the year and will look to use the victory to build some  momentum as they approach district play.  The Ventures played well the whole match to come away with the match win, the game by game scores show how close things were as these two teams battled in a 5 set thriller, (L 22-25, W 25-20, W 25-20, L 25-15, W 15-6).  After the splitting the first 4 games 2-2, Foley knew they still had a great opportunity in front of themselves, and the seized the moment.  Their inspired play in the 5th game led to a dominating performance, 15-6 in the game, and their first league win. 

On the night Colleen Szakacs led in kills (9), Tricia Fogel led in assists (18), and Arielle Hall led in digs (13).  Maria Starceski and Colleen would lead the team in blocks as well.  

The Ventures will travel to Whitmore Lake on Saturday for a tournament and then will host the Venture invitational on Friday Oct. 23rd at 4:00pm.  District play will begin November 4th as Foley takes on Michigan Colligate at University of Ligget at 5:00pm.
